Obama’s new era of transparency: Fed capitulates after Fox lawsuit

The Federal Reserve on Thursday released details of emergency loans it made to banks during the financial crisis. The release was the result of a lawsuit filed by FOX Business Network against the Fed seeking to uncover details of the unprecedented lending program.

A massive cache of documents released by the Federal Reserve Thursday reveals that banks from every corner of the globe, large and small, turned to the U.S. government’s emergency bailout program for help as the credit crisis exploded in late 2008.
