Impeachment not likely

Obama deserves to face impeachment proceedings for his Benghazi cover-up, and if he were a Republican, he would.

The underlying events leading up to Obama’s obfuscation of the facts – punctuated with the murder of four precious Americans – was far more serious than the petty, bungled Watergate burglary by Nixon’s staff. But the major difference why Nixon went down and Obama will not is that Democrats had the active support of the New York Times, and no media enthusiasm for rigorous pursuit of the truth against a liberal Democrat exists in America today.

Unless there are some reporters like Woodward and Bernstein out there running down leads and talking to other “deep throat” insiders in dark parking garages, soon the only vestiges remaining of the Benghazi story will be found swept under the Oval Office carpet.

I would love to be wrong about this.

Benghazi Impeachment Suddenly Not So Far-Fetched

If Barack Obama is reelected, will he face impeachment over Benghazi — a yet more unpleasant and far more wrenching result than to lose an election?

It could happen — and in my estimation should happen — the way revelations are playing out over the bloody terror attack that took four American lives and has led to weeks of prevarication and obfuscation.
